Famous

I have so much running through my head and I don't know how to put it into words. So here are a few random thoughts that I need to vent:
One more year of
playing. dancing. singing.
laughing backstage.
putting up sets.
driving around.
listening to Janet Jackson.
babysitting.
feeling famous.
ripple bows.
costumes and props.
popcicle parties.
feeling apart of something bigger than myself.
Being the best of friends.
Hopefully these things will stay around forever. It is very likely that once I graduate they will slowly start to disappear. I suddenly felt very nostalgic this afternoon after realizing that there is only one more year before I graduate college and potentially join the rest of the adults in the workforce. I wish that these days when work feels like play could last forever. Nothing lasts forever, but I hope the next year will slow down so that I can enjoy it while it lasts. When something has been such a big part of your life for such a long time it makes it hard to grasp the idea of leaving it behind.
Hopefully I will always remember what it felt like to be seventeen and famous in a small town.

Im a Carrie

When I pass someone on the street and think "man that outfit is super cute and original", I always revert back to episodes of Sex and the City. Carrie Bradshaw is famous for having the most inventive wardrobe in New York and I cant help but be jealous of her closet. The hint to becoming a trend starter like Carrie is taking a trend and making it your own.
 Here are a few trends that I want to add some personal touch to:
<Peplum>
<Contrasting Lengths>
<Jumpsuits>
<Skirt with a long Sweater or Shirt>
<Loud Blouse with Statement pieces>
<Corset Crop Top>

I Wish I Could

This semester of college has been quite hectic. As much fun learning is, I often feel as if I am missing out of the rest of my life.
Here are the things I wish I could also be doing these days:

<learning to play guitar>

<learning to skateboard>

<spending time in NYC>

<having some girl fun>

<building a dream house>

<socializing>

<learning to tumble>

<enjoying the little things>
So there you have it, that is my "feel bad for me while I rot in a classroom" post. Maybe this post should really be entitled "My To Do While I'm Young List:"

Good, Bad, and the Stressful

Its one of those college nights filled with open text books, coffee, and highlighters. Final exams are fast approaching and I am frantically trying to cram for my last tests of the semester. Every study jam needs a few breaks, right? I would much rather be back in Key West with a few thousand strangers and my four girlfriends.
 <Best Friends Soaking Up Smathers Beach>
 <Mich Ultra. Columbias. Coozies. Bikinis>
 <Southermost Point>
 <Daquiri bottles we refilled about 30 times that week>
 <Typical Beach Gear>
<Five Gals Duval Crawlin'>
Needless to say, we had a great time. Its always nice to escape reality. Everyday life is filled with stressors like work and school, not to mention trying to keep up an adequate social life. Hows a girl supposed to date when she is consumed in notecards and lectures?
While life is turning me in seventeen different directions right now, I am thankful for every single day. This week marks a significant ending of a chapter in my life. A huge weight that my family and I have been carrying around for twelve years is being lifting, just in time for some Easter weekend celebrations (stay tuned). One of my favorite sayings is "what doesnt kill you makes you stronger". Its no coincidence that Kelly Clarkson has a new single entitled just that. Little things remind me every day to rejoice the life you are handed, be thankful for what you have, and love the people in your life.
So this one goes out to my parents, two sisters, big brother, and all of the people who have stood by us these long years.

I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. Philippians 4:13
