Children are flowers

There are moments in life that establish who you will become. There are also people in your life that will shape the thoughts you will have. When I was seventeen I realized that without even knowing it, I had blossomed into an adult. Suddenly, I was thinking more about the kind of role model I was to children rather than the who I wanted to model. I firmly believe that children are the future and it is our job as adults to mold them into responsible loving people. On that note, it makes me extremely angry when young stars (who have thousands of youngsters watching their every move) make a fool of themselves. There is just something about the headline "Disney star pregnant" that is creepy and unsettling to me. Scandals like these make me all the more happy to read articles about celebrities who acknowledge the fact that there are small eyes watching them. After all, the media is everywhere. I certainly hope that my children (who do not exist yet) can find a role model that doesn't contradict the premise of "childhood".
Flowers need water to blossom.
