Good, Bad, and the Stressful

Its one of those college nights filled with open text books, coffee, and highlighters. Final exams are fast approaching and I am frantically trying to cram for my last tests of the semester. Every study jam needs a few breaks, right? I would much rather be back in Key West with a few thousand strangers and my four girlfriends.

 <Mich Ultra. Columbias. Coozies. Bikinis>
 <Southermost Point>
 <Daquiri bottles we refilled about 30 times that week>
 <Typical Beach Gear>
<Five Gals Duval Crawlin'>
Needless to say, we had a great time. Its always nice to escape reality. Everyday life is filled with stressors like work and school, not to mention trying to keep up an adequate social life. Hows a girl supposed to date when she is consumed in notecards and lectures?
While life is turning me in seventeen different directions right now, I am thankful for every single day. This week marks a significant ending of a chapter in my life. A huge weight that my family and I have been carrying around for twelve years is being lifting, just in time for some Easter weekend celebrations (stay tuned). One of my favorite sayings is "what doesnt kill you makes you stronger". Its no coincidence that Kelly Clarkson has a new single entitled just that. Little things remind me every day to rejoice the life you are handed, be thankful for what you have, and love the people in your life.
So this one goes out to my parents, two sisters, big brother, and all of the people who have stood by us these long years.

I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. Philippians 4:13

Put some Spring in your step

Today is the first official day of Spring 2012! Already my Facebook is exploding with event invitations which include the first Bear Paw river trip, BBQs, the annual Spring time parade in Tallahassee, and other outdoor extravaganzas. With Spring comes lots of green, flowers, and chirping birds. This week in Tallahassee has been the first with warmth and tons of sunshine, a week that instantly puts everyone in a good mood... Unless you are one of the fortunate people with those notorious North Florida allergies.
Here are a few things im loving about Spring time:
<Switching Wardobes>
polka
<matching neutrals and brights>
Fresh pineapple, coconut milk, banana, honey & ice. a healthy Hawaiian blizzard :)
<healthier Pina Coladas for poolside>
.
<pretty days for back porchin'>
love the blazer
<Pastels are great for when you are still working on a tan>
dolce vita suede wedge in "melon".
<Dolce Vita wedges in melon. Hello Happy Hour>
Here's to you, Spring time in Tallahassee.. I gladly welcome back the weather, the birds, my tan, and twirly skirts.

Bye Bye, Twenty One

Well, its official. I am in my last twenty four hours of being twenty one. Wednesday I will be turning 22 on 2-22-12. I have tons of mixed feelings about it. Twenty one is the one age that younger adults cant wait for, and older adults seem to wish they could return to. Its also a year all about having fun, living free, and being young! And oh, what a great year it was! Here are a few highlights:
<first legal grown up drink>
 <beautiful way to celebrate 4th of July with lovely friends and family>
 <going to see Taylor Swift with good friends>
 <first trip to Gorgeous South Beach>
 <Redneck'ing with old friends>
 <meeting our fave, Luke Bryan in PCB over SB>
 <cheering on the NOLES at every home game>
<embraced a winter full of love, family, and Christmas lights>

While the past year has been great, I still anticipate twenty two. I fear that ill feel "old". I loved twenty one! Had a blast living up to the twenty one year old ways of life.
My plans for the next couple of years include finishing my first degree at FSU then working towards a nursing degree. I predict that twenty two will be a stressful, yet productive year. Hopefully the year will bring new love, luck, passion, and adventures!
Bring it on, twenty two.

Spring Break

In twelve days my four gal pals and I will be on the way to Key West for an amazing Spring Break experience!
One thing about me that you must understand is that I LOVE to craft! Having said, I took it upon myself to create some really great beach "gear" for each girl. These items include personalized drinking jugs, glittery coozies, crazy straws, and personalized foam visors with cute fake flowers on top! (picture to come). Ill probably add a few other items like candy, a few magazines, gum, and mini liquor bottles like you would get on an airplane. I figure that since we will all five be spending a total of twenty five hours in the same car over six days we could use a few fun items like that.
Another thing about me is that I LOVE spring break! Take notice: I do not enjoy people falling off balconies, getting too friendly with strangers, or "girls gone wild".. I do enjoy laying on the beach with a mixed drink, hanging with my gals, and letting off steam on a beautiful island! The excitement alone is part of the fun. Stay tuned to see pictures from the trip!
